2. Genuine Grand Sport performance hardware
Introduced for 2010, the Grand Sport replaced the previous Z51 package and moved the standard Corvette considerably closer to Z06 territory.
Chevrolet gave it wider bodywork, a racetrack-developed suspension, additional cooling, larger brakes and substantially wider wheels and tires. The company rated the Grand Sport for 1.0 g of cornering capability and reported a 0.2-second improvement in 0–60 mph acceleration compared with a standard LS3-powered Corvette.

This was not simply an appearance package. Chevrolet engineered the Grand Sport to deliver a meaningful increase in braking, grip and handling capability while retaining the comfort, removable roof and automatic-transmission availability that made the standard Corvette so usable.
3. The 436-horsepower LS3 and NPP exhaust
Power comes from Chevrolet’s naturally aspirated 6.2-litre LS3 V8, producing 436 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque with the optional factory NPP dual-mode performance exhaust.
The NPP system gives the LS3 a deeper, more purposeful voice when the throttle opens while remaining civilized during relaxed driving.
It is paired with Chevrolet’s six-speed automatic transmission with paddle-shift control. The combination makes this Grand Sport effortless on the highway, comfortable around town and properly fast when asked.
There are no turbochargers, artificial sound effects or complicated hybrid systems—just one of Chevrolet’s finest naturally aspirated V8s driving the rear wheels.

Jetstream Blue Tintcoat is one of the colours that defines the C6 generation. It changes noticeably with the light, moving from a rich metallic blue to a much brighter and more vivid finish in direct sun.
Combined with the Light Titanium interior, chrome Grand Sport wheels and contrasting fender accents, it gives this Corvette a distinctive but exceptionally tasteful presentation.
The Grand Sport name also carries genuine Corvette history. It originated with five lightweight racing prototypes created under legendary Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov in 1963. Chevrolet revived the name for the limited-production 1996 Grand Sport before bringing it back for this substantially upgraded 2010 model.
That heritage gives the car significance beyond its wider body and performance equipment.
