How We Sell

We Sell Cars Differently—On Purpose

Buying an interesting used car is not the same as buying an appliance.

With a Corvette, Porsche, BMW roadster, classic car or performance sedan, the details matter. Condition matters. History matters. Equipment matters. Previous ownership, maintenance and modifications matter.

Two cars that look identical in an online search can be very different vehicles.

That is why we pay attention to the details before asking you to buy.

We Choose Our Inventory

We are not trying to have something for everyone.

We look for interesting vehicles that we are comfortable owning ourselves. Some are exceptionally low-mileage examples. Others are attractive because of their specification, history, condition or value.

Before we buy, we consider:

  • Condition and mileage
  • Ownership and accident history
  • Service records
  • Factory equipment
  • Colour combination
  • Originality and modifications
  • Mechanical needs
  • Market value
  • The cost of preparing it properly

Not every vehicle makes the cut.

Selected—not simply sourced. Chosen—not chased.

We Get to Know the Car

A five-minute drive around the block does not tell us very much.

Whenever practical, we drive our vehicles in real conditions—around town, on country roads and on the highway. We operate the equipment, listen for noises and pay attention to how the vehicle starts, steers, shifts, brakes and behaves once fully warmed up.

Most vehicles are driven extensively by us before being offered for sale.

We would rather discover a problem ourselves than have you discover it later.

We Inspect and Recondition

Each vehicle is mechanically inspected. When certification is included, it is inspected by an independent licensed repair facility and delivered with a valid Ontario Safety Standards Certificate.

Passing a safety inspection is the minimum standard—not necessarily the end of our preparation.

Depending on what a vehicle needs, we may replace or service:

  • Tires
  • Brakes
  • Steering and suspension components
  • Fluids and filters
  • Batteries
  • Lighting and electrical systems
  • Heating and air conditioning
  • Other maintenance or wear items identified during inspection

We also professionally detail each vehicle before delivery.

Whenever possible, our advertisements identify the meaningful work completed. “Serviced as required” does not tell you much. Four new tires, new brakes or a repaired suspension tell you something useful.

We Tell You What We Know

Used vehicles are not perfect. Neither are new ones, for very long.

Age, mileage, paintwork, repairs and ordinary wear are part of owning a used vehicle—especially an enthusiast or specialty car.

We describe our vehicles honestly and disclose the material information available to us, including accident claims, U.S. history, modifications and known imperfections.

A previous insurance claim does not automatically make a vehicle a bad car. An accident-free history does not automatically make one a good car. What matters is understanding the complete vehicle: its present condition, how it was repaired, how it drives and whether the price properly reflects its history.

CARFAX Canada reports and available service documentation can be reviewed before purchase.

We do not sell perfect cars. We sell honest ones.

Our Price Is Our Price

Our best price is always our advertised price—cash, trade or finance.

We do not inflate the price to create room for a negotiation, and we do not advertise one price only to make it conditional on financing.

We price each vehicle according to its mileage, condition, history, equipment, preparation and current market position.

Applicable HST and licensing are additional. All mandatory dealer charges are included in the advertised price.

Straightforward pricing saves everyone time.

Independent Inspections Are Welcome

If you would like another professional opinion, you are welcome to arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection.

A qualified technician may inspect the vehicle at our showroom. The inspection is selected, arranged and paid for by the prospective buyer.

We want you to make an informed decision. Ask questions. Review the CARFAX. Examine the service records. Bring someone knowledgeable or hire someone independent.

Confidence should come from good information—not sales pressure.

Why We Don’t Offer Conventional Test Drives

We do not offer conventional pre-purchase test drives.

Specialty vehicles attract plenty of people who would enjoy taking one for a drive. That does not help the serious buyer, and it adds unnecessary mileage, wear and risk to cars we have carefully selected and prepared.

Instead, we offer more meaningful ways to evaluate a vehicle:

  • Extended road evaluation by our team
  • Mechanical inspection
  • Independent Ontario safety certification
  • CARFAX Canada history
  • Available reconditioning and service documentation
  • Independent pre-purchase inspections in our showroom
  • Detailed photographs and build sheets
  • A 72-hour money-back guarantee on eligible vehicles

A ten-minute drive with a salesperson beside you is not ownership. Taking the car home is.

The 72-Hour Money-Back Guarantee

On eligible purchases, our 72-hour money-back guarantee gives you the opportunity to experience the vehicle properly—on your roads, in your garage and as part of your normal life. You may return your purchase within the lesser of 72 hours or 300 kms. A $250 documentation fee applies on returns. Must be in its original condition, undamaged and unmodified.

Detailed eligibility and return conditions are provided in writing before the purchase is completed. Some specialty, classic or consignment vehicles may be excluded. If a vehicle is not eligible, we will tell you before you buy it.

We flipped the script: instead of driving the car before you own it, you experience it after you buy it—with the opportunity to return it under the written terms of the program.

No Deposits or Holds

We do not accept deposits to hold vehicles.

Deposits can create uncertainty about whether a car is sold, conditionally sold or still available. We prefer to keep it simple.

Our rule is simple: if you’re 100% certain, say the word and we’ll make it yours. If you’re 99% certain, take the time you need—it’s still for sale.

Financing and Trade-Ins

Bank financing is available on many of our vehicles, less than 10 model years old, subject to lender approval. Availability and terms depend on the applicant as well as the vehicle’s age, mileage and value.

The price does not change because you finance, pay cash or trade.

Buying From a Distance

Many of our customers do not live nearby.

If you are shopping from outside the Paris area, we can provide additional photographs, the CARFAX Canada report and available service or repair documentation.

We can also accommodate an independent inspection and help arrange transportation or delivery.

We will describe the vehicle as accurately as we can. In return, we encourage you to ask every question that matters to you before completing the purchase.

Distance should require more information—not more uncertainty.

Completing the Purchase

Before you sign, we review the purchase documents and disclosures with you. These may include:

  • Vehicle identification and mileage
  • Purchase price
  • Trade-in allowance
  • Financing terms
  • Accident and damage disclosures
  • Warranty information, where applicable
  • Eligibility for the 72-hour program
  • HST and licensing
  • Final balance due

We want you to understand both the vehicle and the transaction.

No rushed decisions. No mystery fees. No last-minute change in price.

The Right Car for the Right Person

We are a small, independent specialty dealership in Paris, Ontario.

We are not measured by how many people we can put behind the wheel or how quickly we can move someone through a sales process. Our job is to select worthwhile vehicles, prepare them properly, describe them honestly and make them easy to buy.

We understand that every car will not appeal to every person.

That is the point.

We don’t simply sell cars. We acquire cars that can sell themselves.
