2005 Chevrolet SSR | 19,000 km | LS2 V8 | Six-speed manual | Torch Red
The SSR is a rare combination: a V8 roadster with a retractable hardtop and the unmistakable shape of a classic Chevrolet pickup. This one has the specification I look for, exceptionally low kilometres and a collection of factory accessories that make it especially appealing.
The six-speed manual
For 2005, Chevrolet paired the SSR’s 6.0-litre LS2 V8 with an available Tremec six-speed manual transmission. It gives this SSR a much more involving character than its automatic counterpart. Lower the power retractable hardtop, select a gear and enjoy the sound of the V8 with nothing between you and the open air.
Just 18,000 kilometres
This SSR presents immaculately and has travelled only 19,000 kilometres. Finished in Torch Red over black leather, it retains the bold appearance that made the SSR unlike anything else in Chevrolet’s showroom.
Its factory equipment includes heated seats, power windows, remote keyless entry, premium audio, a limited-slip differential and staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels.
The accessories you hope to find
Included with the vehicle are its factory accessory, German engineered trailer hitch, factory saddlebags, rear wind deflector and fitted car cover. These are useful additions that complement the SSR’s distinctive design and are particularly welcome with a carefully kept example.
Canadian history

I owned the first Canadian SSR from new, loved it for 10 years. It was very special but lacked the power of the 6.0 ltr LS2 that Chevrolet added in 2005. Mated to the six speed Tremec it is the ultimate combination of performance and just good old rear wheel drive fun!. It is a Chevrolet you can enjoy with the roof down today and still look back at every time you park it.
